Licensed Veterinary Technician
Candace graduated from Blue Ridge Community College with an Associates of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology in 2008. She took some time off away from veterinary medicine in 2011 to travel and backpacked in New Zealand. Candace is our most tenured licensed veterinary technician at TOS! She has been working as a LVT with The Oncology Service since 2012, primarily in the medical oncology department. She lives with her husband, two boys, Arvid and Wyatt, two cats, and a mischievous hermit crab that keeps escaping his enclosure. Much of her free time is spent time caring for her young sons, taking them to their sports activities and school. Candace enjoys traveling, gardening, and riding bikes around town with her family.
