Katie joined The Oncology Service team in 2013 shortly after Dr. Waite and Candace, LVT, making her our most tenured veterinary assistant. She is currently enrolled in her final year of Purdue University’s Veterinary Nursing Distance Learning Program, after being awarded a scholarship in 2020. Her special interests in the clinic include clinical pathology, diagnostic imaging, sample collection and clinical studies.
Outside of the clinic, Katie enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter, 14-year-old dachshund and 12-year-old pittie mix. She also enjoys running, cooking, identifying insect species and mushroom hunting.
Our hospital will be closed from September 8–12 for unexpected facility repairs. We’re working quickly to get everything resolved. In the meantime, our team will be monitoring our email and voicemail remotely.
